Wash and press fabric before cutting. Cut all pattern pieces including 1 cm seam allowance.
Place front and back right sides together. Sew side seams, finish with zigzag or overlocker and press open.
Fold bottom edge 1 cm twice and topstitch close to the edge.
Attach bias tape along armholes: right sides together, fold over, topstitch.
Bias tape at neckline length + 80 cm. Attach along neckline, leave ends free as neck ties.
Sew a bias tape strip at waist height to the side seams of the back panel.
Trim threads, press on wrong side, adjust neck ties.
Use French seams for a clean inside finish with transparent fabrics.
Use fabric clips instead of pins with slippery fabrics to avoid damage.
Always use a pressing cloth with viscose to avoid shiny marks.

Wash and press the elastic fabric. Cut the pattern 2x (front + back), including 1 cm seam allowance.
Right sides together, sew side seams with a stretch stitch (zigzag or overlocker).
Fold top edge 1.5 cm, sew with stretch stitch — this forms the casing for the elastic.
Thread elastic through the casing. Adjust to shoulder width + 2 cm overlap. Sew ends in place.
Fold bottom edge 1 cm twice and topstitch with stretch stitch or twin needle.
Try on and check that the waist notch sits at the correct height.
Trim threads and press on low heat (elastic fabric is heat sensitive).
Always use a zigzag or overlocker — a straight stitch will snap when worn.
Measure around your shoulders and subtract 10%. Elastic should fit snugly but not too tight.
Always press on low heat with a cloth — too much heat permanently damages elastic fibres.
